I think we should have school uniforms,
because the school uniform teaches students to dress
beautifully and is proud of their appearance.
Perhaps most importantly, uniforms mean that students
don't have to worry about peer pressure when
it comes to clothes.
When everyone is wearing the same clothes,
worrying about your appearance is not that important.

Also we should have school uniforms,
because if we don’t have school uniforms some bad kids
Disguised as a student to attend classes,
When the real students are in class
They will be driven out as camouflage students.

Story Review
The Thousand Currant Buns by Joy Cowley
This story is about one thousand currant buns
Mr Bob wanted to give Miss May a birthday present. He decided to give her a big, enormous present. The present was one thousand currant buns.
After Mr Bob made one thousand currant buns, he put them on his truck and drove to Miss May’s house.
Mr Bob drove his truck past the farm, the beach and the kennels. Mr Bob stopped at Miss May’s house to drop of her present of one thousand currant buns.
Miss May could see fat seagulls, fat sheep, fat dogs, fat bears, and fat monkeys, but she could not see any buns. All the animals had eaten the buns.
Mr. Bob was surprised when he found out the buns had disappeared. Miss May had a surprise for Mr. Bob. She asked Mr Bob to join her for a cup of tea. Guess what ! Miss May had two currant buns for tea.

Book week in school
This week was Book week. There was a play performed in school hall on Tuesday.
The play was about the treasure hunt that been written by Craig Christie.
There were two tribes living on an island. These two tribes blamed each other for stealing each other song.
The tree land tribe was led by George and the sea view tribe was led by Jessica These two characters meted up to solve the problem about the lost treasure which was their song.
The problem was solved when they were able to put the torn map together and work out how to get to the treasure They had to read three different books to solve the problem.
I really enjoyed this play because both the characters were very smart and talented they sang very well and were also very hilarious.
Thank you Sam and Lydia for coming to our school I hope to see you again next year.

ANZAC Acrosstic poem
As the soldiers fought, gunfire and explosions surrounded them.
New soldiers training to fight in the dangerous, thunderous war,
Zealous soldiers fighting to save their country.
Angry, sad, scared families not knowing what was happening.
Crawling on hands and knees, soldiers moving through the thick, deep, muddy trenches.
Maths
W.A.L.T: we are learning to solve subtraction problems
8966-6698=2268.
So you can’t subtract 6 from 8 because 6 is smaller than 8 so 6 asked 60 if he can borrow 10 and so 60 gave 6 ten and 60 became 50 and 6 became 16 and 16-8=8 and 50 is smaller than 90 so 50 asked 900 if he can borrow one hundred so 900 gave 50 one hundred and 900 became 800 and 50 became 150 and 150-90=60 and 800-600=200 and 8000-6000=2000 and 2000+200+60+8=2268

Water Fun Day
Friday at Glenbrae School was a water fun day.
As a viewer I watched kids having fun at the different activity stations.
Lots of wet bodies roasting in the hot scorching sun.
Laughter, and hi-fives all around!
I wish I had brought my togs because I missed out on getting wet
and having fun.
